Compiles, verifies, types and files medical records of the hospital and/or clinic.


A. Education: High school graduate or equivalent

B. Personal job-related skills: Verbal and written communications skills. Able to type accurately, enter and retrieve data. Working knowledge of medical terminology.

C. Licensure, registry or certification: None required.

D. Experience

1. Prior Work Experience: Previous medical records experience preferred 2. Technical Training: None required

E. Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of position require intermittent walking, sitting, standing and lifting up to 40 pounds.
