Hamilton EMS Director
Richard Stout is the Hamilton EMS Director. Stout, his wife, Jaquata, and their daughters are long-time residents of Hamilton. He has worked in EMS for 22 years, 19 of which have been with HEMS. "My plans for the future of HEMS are a continued path of improved quality of care; working with Dr. Horne as our medical director to stay current with the latest standard of care, " said Stout, who looks forward to working with all the departments at HGH to continue to integrate EMS as a working part of the whole healthcare system.

Hamilton EMS Medical Director
Dr. Monte Horne joined the Family Practice Rural Health Clinic in 2001. He completed his undergraduate studies at Baylor University followed by a master’s degree in healthcare administration at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. To complete his master’s degree, he lived in Catacamas, Honduras, and worked as the operations manager of an alcoholic rehabilitation hospital. While there he met his wife, who is a Honduran physician. Dr. Horne graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch of Galveston in 1998 and completed residency training in family practice at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. As HEMS Medical Director he provides medical oversight necessary for EMTs to perform life-saving procedures.
