Patient & Visitor Information

We know that hospitalization is never an entirely pleasant experience, but we will do our best to make you as comfortable as possible.

Visiting Hours and Regulations

Visitors can be good medicine for patients; however, patient care is our primary concern. Visiting hours and regulations are available at the nurses station. If you need additional information, please consult with the charge nurse at the nurses station.

Visitors must dress appropriately and must wear shirts and shoes. No more than two visitors are allowed at the bedside at one time. Visitors in semi-private rooms should be considerate of both patients. People with colds, sore throats or contagious diseases should not visit patients. Visits should be kept short. Visitors should maintain a quiet environment and avoid unnecessary noise. Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments or when the doctor or nurse needs to see the patient.

Gifts for Patients

Visitors should check at the nurses station before bringing gifts of food or drink to patients. Visitors should check at the nurses station before bringing any gift to special care unit patients.

The hospital does not have a gift or flower shop, but there are two florists in Hamilton, both located downtown on the square.
