Marketer – Full Time

Overview

Promotes Hamilton Healthcare System by implementing marketing and advertising programs in local and regional markets. Develops and coordinates public health education programs, employee recognition programs, District events, and supports Auxiliary and Hospital Foundation projects. Will act as the district’s community liaison.

Job Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelors of Business in Marketing preferred.
    • Personal job-related skills: Must posses the ability to appropriately represent the district in a variety of settings. Must be self motivated, organized, and comfortable with leading and speaking at public events.
    • Licensure, registry or certification: None Required
    • Prior Work Experience: Prefer experience in marketing, advertising, or public relations. Knowledge and experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
    • Technical Training: Ability to operate business office equipment. Computer experience to include Quark, PhotoShop, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint software programs. Ability to operate digital media (i.e. digital camera, laptop and projector).
    • Physical and Mental Requirements:  Duties of the position require intermittent walking, sitting, and standing. Some bending, stooping, and reaching is required with the lifting limit of items up to a weight of 50 pounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promotes Hamilton Healthcare System by organizing and implementing a creative and effective advertising/marketing program.
  • Evaluate existing advertising efforts and adjust them as necessary.
  • Works with administrative assistant in maintaining in-house newsletters.
  • Plan and implement various activities promoting HHS throughout the marketing area.
  • Create and design all content for advertising for social media, billboards, direct mail campaigns, and external and internal departmental brochures.
  • Develops, implements, and manages public health education programs.
  • Designs programs addressing ongoing health needs and concerns through public events for the community.
  • Coordinates efforts with local school districts for student health and job fairs.
  • Assists the administrator and all department heads in all public communications.
  • Works with Human Resources for recruitment and employment advertising.
  • Plans and organizes community and employee events.
  • Works with the events team to coordinate employee functions.
  • Works directly with the Auxiliary and Foundation Board with marketing and community projects.
  • Maintain an accurate accounting of all expenditures, generate purchase orders and approve invoices in a timely accurate fashion.

  • Provides marketing ideas and guidance for the District.
  • Maintains a positive customer relations atmosphere.
  • Maintains confidentiality while working with confidential matters on a daily basis.
  • Follows safety guidelines and policies for the Healthcare System.
