High Quality Service

Our campus provides services from 7am–6pm. During that time, a technologist is on duty for diagnostic radiographic and CT work. Insurance information may be required at time of scheduling. Pre-authorization and pre-certification of medical necessity must be obtained prior to visit. Patients may need to check with their carrier to verify coverage.

Bone Density Testing

Bone density testing is the single most useful procedure in the diagnosis of osteoporosis and the evaluation of fracture risk. Hamilton General Hospital Radiology Department is equipped with DEXA, state-of-the-art x-ray technology to accurately and painlessly measure bone density.

Digital Mammography

A digital mammogram is an x-ray exam of the breast captured in digital format. Hamilton General Hospital performs screening mammograms which are used to detect and evaluate breast changes. Annual screening mammograms can detect cancer when it is too small to be felt by a woman or her doctor. Early detection greatly improves a woman’s chance for successful treatment.

Hamilton General Hospital is an FDA certified mammogram facility.

MRI

There’s no better place to schedule an MRI exam than Hamilton General Hospital. That’s because we’re the only facility in the region with the Philips Ingenia 1.5T, the first-ever digital broadband MR scanner. This revolutionary system delivers superb image resolution, fast exams, and a more open patient experience you can feel good about.
