Respiratory therapists are licensed professionals who provide diagnostic, treatment, and education to patients with lung diseases or breathing problems under physician supervision. Respiratory therapists provide breathing treatments, pulmonary function studies, EKGs, arterial blood gases, and pulmonary rehabilitation.
From sleep chairs for family members to laptops and entertainment consoles, the Hamilton General Hospital Auxiliary provides many comfort items for patients during their stay at Hamilton General Hospital. Auxiliary volunteers provide patients with donated copies of the Hamilton Herald News hot off the press, paperback books, magazines, balloons and handmade pillows. The HGH Auxiliary is funded through tax-deductible contributions.
